Thursday, May 18, 2017 9:30 am – 5:00 pm
Be sure to include the Silent Auction and Marketplace on your itinerary. It will begin at 9:30 am and continue until 5:00 pm. Ample parking is readily available at the Clifton Presbyterian Church, where it is located. Directly across Main St. from the Acacia Masonic Lodge, the church is near several delightful restaurants and coffee shops in the historic town. The Silent Auction features a variety of items you will find hard to resist: a wine tasting at a nearby winery, golf foursomes at country clubs and local golf courses, riding lessons with an outstanding instructor, Lenox and Waterford bowls and vases, designer jewelry, and beautifully framed paintings. Many other attractive premiums are available, including gift certificates for hair stylists, spas, dinners at highly rated restaurants, and tickets for performances at George Mason’s Center for the Arts.
The always popular Marketplace will return this year. As you stroll through the Silent Auction, you will be enchanted by the select vendors and their wares. Across the street at the Acacia Masonic Lodge, the Clifton Community Woman’s Club will offer complimentary light refreshments. A noted local crafter will also host wreath-making demonstrations. You are invited to try your own hand at her intriguing art. Trinkets and Treasures will make its debut at the 2017 Clifton Homes Tour. An eye-catching array of old, but cherished items awaits new families. Here, you can find inexpensive books, jewelry, mirrors, cloth napkins, salt and pepper shakers, and just about anything you can imagine. Come join us for the fun of looking at these tempting prizes and treasures from nearby businesses and from our own homes in picturesque Clifton.
