After moving to Clifton from Oakton where I belonged to a wonderful woman’s club for years, I was looking for a community group to join that supported charities and scholarships while fostering new friendships.  I hit the jackpot when I discovered the CCWC!   I found the members to be so welcoming.  After learning about the many accomplishments of this outstanding group over the past fifty years to support the community I decided to join.  I have enjoyed learning from and working with these terrifically talented women and appreciate their friendships.

Do you wish to serve your community, form lasting friendships, engage in multi-cultural events, and have great fun at the same time? Join the Clifton Community Woman’s Club. I was able to visit for a couple of meetings and when I saw the jovial group who was gracious, charming, and engaging, I decided to give it a try and never turned back. The member who convinced me as I was thinking about it, said, that in addition to all the great opportunities as outlined above, that if you ever need help in your life that there will be about 80 women standing by to support you. I have seen this in action. This organization does not take away from your life. It adds to it.

I lived in the Clifton area for more than ten years before I retired, but hardly knew anyone.  I joined CCWC in 1994 and immediately got to know many new friends.  I became active in Club affairs and expanded my knowledge of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs at the District and State levels.  I have enjoyed all aspects of Club membership, from service to the community to joining in social activities of the Club.  Membership in CCWC has literally changed my life!

I just came from playing bridge and having lunch outside, still laughing all the way home. It’s Coronavirus season and I’m thinking about how healthy it is to have a group of friends with whom to share news and laughter, so good for the soul these days. Everyone is intelligent, organized, capable, fully committed to serving the community, and enjoying friendship whether at a meeting, at an outing, Zooming, or working hard on a project! Our hearts are always open to welcome more friends.
